About "The Coming Evil Trilogy"

The Coming Evil Trilogy is the result of a bold experiment. The goal was simple: To introduce a classic B-movie creature feature into the Christian publishing market. A series that is equal parts spiritual reflection and roller-coaster monster movie thrill ride, The Coming Evil is my ode to my lifelong passion for fright flicks and an essay on my own faith journey.

The series concerns the fictional town of Greensboro, a community steeped in religious tradition with very little conviction. Over the years, even those in the Church have grown apathetic to their neighbors and, slowly but surely, the spiritual walls that have protected this town have begun to erode. An ancient evil known only as "The Strange Man" slips through and wastes no time plucking hapless souls from the shadows.

The first to stand against this sadistic force is Dras Weldon, a twenty-something man-child previously content with his monster movies and action figures. The son of a preacher, he's heard all his life about God and devils, but put very little thought into any of it--until the Strange Man sets his sights on Dras' best friend Rosalyn Myers. Now, Dras is forced to put aside selfish attitudes and become the man he was always meant to be.

But that is only the beginning of the tale. Dras' battle with the Strange Man ignites a bloody war with gruesome monsters that will affect the lives of every man, woman, and child in Greensboro. As the Strange Man's terrifying "Dark Hour" draws near, every soul will have to choose a side in this war, and take up arms to fight for their survival against all the forces of hell.
